Phill Martin's From the Heart - Just for you die

Hello again all, this card showcases Phill's new dies again.

This one is done in his Decedent Denim range of products but can easily be done in any colour.

To start i cut a piece of white card 1/2 cm smaller than the card blank and coloured the edge with the gilding wax then stuck it to the card blank.

Next I cut a piece of white card with one of the double pierced dies that would fit on the previous layer leaving a small border of the gilded layer showing.

I then cut another piece of white card again slightly smaller than the previous one and embossed it with the embossing folder and edged it with a dab of the colour cloud, this was then stuck to the pierced square before layering onto the card.

I then cut 4 of the corners fron Sue's collection and the border. I trimmed the border to fit across the card, coloured it with the cloud, stuck it across the middle of the card and stuck the corners on, after lightly edging them with the colour cloud to match the layer.

The centrepiece was done by cutting the largest of the Grace dies, leaving the die in the card and colour clouding around the edge so it will show under the next layer., which was cut from white card.

I then cut and embossed the sentiment a selection of daisies the petite vinery.

I took the sentiment and some of the daisies and heat embossed them twice with the decedent denim embossing powder. The sentiment was stuck to the centrepiece android was then stuck to the card using foam pads.

A large daisy was added to the left centre with the petite vinery and a couple of smaller white daisies added to either side, and a selection of daisies some embossed and some plain were added to the other side of the card. To finish a dazzler was put in the centre of the large daisy, gems in the embossed flowers and the corners and some twinkles in the centre of the others flowers.

I really love the new sentiment dies by Phill I think they will be a real set of "go to" dies

Hello again all. 

Today's card is a bit of a change from my usual style, but it's a good one to post, and lovely to make, any how here goes

To start I cut the pink card 1/2 cm smaller than the card blank and stuck it to the card blank.

I then cut a piece of white card 1/2 cm smaller than the previous one, this is the one we are going to work on.

To get the shape I wanted I very lightly put a feint pencil line on the card, about in the centre of my stamping area so I could stamp to either side. I then ramdomly added the flowers and foliage using 1st 2nd and even 3rd generation stamps ( this is just stamping again and again without re-inking the stamp so the image fades). Then using Phills stamp and masking off the edges before inking stamped the sentiment in black soot and added a dragonfly .

To finish I dotted some of the star dust onto the flowers and allowed to dry.

Today's card was made to showcase Phill Martin's new products, a set of From the Heart sentiment dies, (and relations so you can personalise you cards, more of those in future blogs).

They cut out really easily, remember to emboss them before removing them from the die. Anyhow here's today's card

I've left the background quite plain to feature the quality of the die.

I cut a layer of blue card slightly smaller than the card blank and layered it on to the card blank.

I then cut a piece of white card again slightly smaller than the blue one and using the pierced noble    Die cut an aperture towards the top in the middle. I then removed the die cut and embossed the remaining card with the embossing folder. I then stuck this to the card.

Using the die cut piece, I took the next die from the set and cut the fancy edging out. This piece was then put back in the hole mounted with some foam tape. I then cut the smaller plain die to use to mount the topper on. 

I cut amd embossed the sentiment using the blue card and glued it onto the die cut, I then mounted this onto the card, again using mounting foam.

To finish I cut a piece of white card, the same width as the embossed section and slightly wider than the ribbon and wrapped a piece of the ribbon around it securing it at the back with some glue. I stuck this to the card and then added a triple bow and some extra tails to the centre.

The flower was made by shaping some of,the different sized camellia dies, layering them together and adding some iced snow to add a bit of sparkle. When dry this was glued into the centre of the bow.

To finish I added some small gems to the open hearts in the sentiment and to the top corners of the card. I then added some star dust twinkles to edge the sentiment.

I really enjoyed making this card and highly recommended Phills new dies.

Hello again everyone 

Here's today's card, it's quite a girly one today.

To start I cut a piece of the pink card stock 1/2 cm smaller than the card blank and glued it to the card. I then cut a piece of white card and embossed it with the embossing folder. Before sticking this to the card I wrapped a piece of pale pink organza ribbon on the left side and stuck it to the back of the card.

I then cut the outer of the spellbinders die in white, and an inner piece in both white and pink.  I stamped the sentiment with perfect medium and heat embossed it using the detail embossing powder.

I then stuck the White topper onto the pink one slightly offsetting them so it gives a drop shadow effect. This was stuck the larger die cut with foam tape and the whole thing then attached to the card at the right side, again using some mounting foam.

The flowers were made buy stamping some of the orange blossom stamps onto velum using perfect medium and the wow embossing powder. I then cut them out using the dies ( but you could do this by hand).

I shaped the flowers slightly, layered the two biggest together and glued in the bottom corner, then added the others randomly either side of the largest flower.

To finish I added a triple bow and some dazzlers and gems to the bow, flowers and sentiment and edged the topper with some star dust twinkles.

Right, let's get cracking, I cut a piece of the pink card to mat onto the card blank and stuck it on. I then cut and embossed a piece of white card for the next layer and added this to the card.

For the centre I cut one of the Canadian background dies in white and cut it down to 5 X 5 small squares.i then cut a piece of pink card just slightly smaller and stuck them together. Then using the Just Rite die I cut 4 in white and mounted then to the back of the Canadian frame, 1 on each side. I then stuck this to the centre of the card using foam tape. The sentiment section was made by cutting the Lisbon die, just the outer in pink then the outer and fancy die in white which was layered together and another smaller frame for the sentiment.

The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed with the silver embossing powder ( with the baroque edges masked off before stamping) and stuck to the card again using some mounting foam.

To finish I edged the sentiment frame with stickles and added some pink pearls to the 4 corners and the sentiment.

Job done

Here's today's card, showcasing my new favourite technique on the flowers.

To start I cut a piece of card 1/2 cm smaller than the card blank and edged it with the gilding wax, using small  circular movements. I then took another piece of card, embossed it with the embossing folder and cut it to 1/2 cm smaller than the previous layer, before sticking these layers to the card I gently edged the embossed layer with the colour cloud and a smoothie.

For the centrepiece I cut the Auvergne die in 3 sections, the largest for the background, which I coloured with the colour cloud before removing the die. Next I cut the middle layer and finally the small topper for the sentiment, which I also coloured before removing the die. I then stamped the sentiment using the black soot distress ink. These were all layered together using foam pads and stuck to the middle of the card.

For the flowers I cut several of the complete daisies in different sizes, then to colour the centres I mixed a little mica power with a couple of drops of water on my mat and using a brush, painted soft strokes from the middle of the flowers towards the edge of the petals. I allowed this to dry then layered the flowers together and added them to the card with petite vinery dies. 

To finish I added some twinkles to the centre of the flowers, some pva glue dots to the two opposite corners and some stickles around the sentiment.

A little bit of sparkle card

Hello again

Here's today's card, unfortunately I couldn't get a good picture that shows how it sparkles but anyway here we go.

To start I cut a piece of the lilac cardstock 1/2 cm smaller than the card blank, and a piece of white card 1/2 cm smaller than the lilac card.

Using Phill's background stamp and the perfect medium I stamped the white card all over  and then heat embossed using the lilac aurora embossing powder.  A strip of organza ribbon was then wrapped around the card before attaching it to the card with the lilac card.

The sentiment and frame were stamped onto the square die cut topper and embossed with the cosmic shimmer detail embossing powder. Thus was then layered onto another piece of the lilac card and adde to the card.

Finishing touches- the flowers were cut and double embossed with the same glitter embossing powder, and a couple of the laurel leaves were also cut. They were added to the card bottom left and top right and some lavender sparkles were added to the middle of the card to finish.
